Three big multipliers that are fairly straightforward to get. Frozen Orb is actually one of the easiest wizard builds to get started with. Seasons where you can play Frozen Orb with the starting set will typically be the fastest starts. But if you're rushing for a few conquests or an early leaderboard position or something on opening night, that extra hour actually makes a big difference. In the bigger picture, those items don't take that long to farm. And that's an extra hour of slow grinding lower difficulties when other builds might already be speedfarming higher torments/GRs.ĭepends on your goals I guess though. It doesn't sound like much, but needing an extra 5k shards for Swami/Fazula compared to some other builds can take you an extra hour or two. Most other armor slots are 2000-2500 shards on average for a specific item. Two of the worst slots to try and gamble for because of the size of the item pool.
You can upgrade rares instead (Swami is 1 in 5 wizard hats), but that's not a great use of DBs early in the season. 4500 shards on average for Swami, again can take 7500+ if you get a bit unlucky. Swami is also bad because there's both regular helms and wizard hats in the Kadala pool. Can easily take close to 7500+ shards if you get a bit unlucky. It is pretty bad compared to some other builds because of the size of the item slots for those pools.īelt slot is big, 4250 shards on average for a Fazula's. Those are two of the worst slots to try and gamble (of the items actually worth gambling for).
